About

“Sculpting is multifaceted with processes, tools and materials determined by the desired end result. It’s a matter of visualizing the piece and then planning in reverse. Techniques develop over time and with experimentation. There is always a new and exciting concept developing while seeing the current work through to the finish.” -Russ

The Artist’s Journey – A Lifetime in the Making
It has taken a lifetime to get where I am. Born about five decades ago, I was drawn to and started drawing art before the first decade passed. I lived in society’s shadow, realizing I was lost for decades. Alas, My situation aligned, and I shook myself into believing and investing in myself and what I’ve always wanted and knew I was supposed to be—an Artist!
Even at this point, there were still self-discoveries to be made. I thought I would be a painter and eagerly walked that road until the realization crept up on me that I was made for making and sculpting. Still among techniques and mediums, there are paths to choose from, and I do my best to steer in one direction.
Driven by the need for complete creative control, I built my own bronze casting workshop, learning to melt, mold, and forge raw materials into lasting works of art. This was not just about skill—it was about independence, self-belief, and an unyielding commitment to my vision.
Today, every sculpture I create is a reflection of that journey—a testament to resilience, creativity, and the pursuit of something greater.
